Experience and Qualifications
Ian has a first honours degree in Public Services Management (first class), and an MSc in Urban Policy and Regeneration. In addition, references are available if you want to hear from others about the high quality support offered.
Ian has worked in both the community & voluntary sector and in local government, and has managed a wide variety of teams, projects and volunteers within that time. He has been involved with many successful projects, including:
Consultation
Ian has experience in consultation work with families and Early Years, professional consultation programmes tailored for those in health, social care or education, consultation linked to project establishment and ‘delivery plan’ work, creative consultation with young people, consultation on specialist subjects such as mental health and much more.
Facilitation & Training
Training with school staff and Sure Start teams, ‘whole systems’ review and planning sessions, work in hundreds of schools through assemblies, lessons, conferences and out of school activities,
Community Organisations
Ian has had project management responsibilities for developing new community centres, provided support to faith based organisations in community engagement, supported business planning, developed successful lottery, EU and trust funding bids, and provided support to committees amongst other areas of work.
Strategy, review and advice
Ian has experience of developing strategies relating to community development, children and young people, resident participation, social inclusion, marketing, outreach and much more.
